Science Fair

Science Fair is so awesome!

It gives a chance for kids and families to really delve into interesting experiments, inventions and research.

The inquiry process is useful in all parts of life:
1. Ask a good question
2. Make a hypothesis
3. Make a plan
4. Conduct the plan
5. Make detailed observations
6. Make a conclusion
7. Generate more questions.

This process will help kids as they go through life - in all subjects & in all life problems.

For example, in Math this process helps when problem solving. In Social it helps when doing research. In Language Arts, it's similar to the process used to write and understand a good story.

Science Fair projects also help students delelop their leadership skills.
Habit 1: Be Proactive  - be in charge of your own project (adult help is perfectly great!)
Habit 2: Keep The End In Mind (set a goal)
Habit 3: Put First Things First (be organized!)
Habit 4: Think Win-Win (working with others)
Habit 5: Seek First To Understand (Understand the problem and information, and explain results to others)
Habit 6: Synergize (can't do a Science Fair project without help!)
Habit 7: Sharpen The Saw (well, Science is just fun!!!!)
Habit 8: Inspire Others (sharing with a project, inspires other kids to love Science too)
