Roots of Empathy
Roots of Empathy is an evidence-based classroom program where volunteer parents and babies come to classrooms once a month. Students learn about empathy by observing babies to see what they need to be safe and happy. Students gain an understanding of the importance of empathy and how to develop it.
The Roots of Empathy program is country wide, and has shown significant effect in reducing levels of aggression among school children while raising social/emotional competence and increasing empathy.
Roots of Empathy’s mission is to build caring, peaceful, and civil societies through the development of empathyin children and adults.
We are proud to have had the Roots Of Empathy program in our school for over ten years. Some of our “Babies” have grown up to become students in our school!
